The Bertram 54 PACIFIC PIONEER was designed and built by a knowledgeable yachtsman for long-range fishing and traveling. Commonly referred to as the “Battle Wagon,” the Bertram 54 is renowned for her wide beam and deep V hull design that cuts through rough water while offering a stable platform. She is also equipped with extra fuel for longer voyages. PACIFIC PIONEER has been beautifully maintained and benefitted from an extensive 2006 refit. She was stripped down and completely rebuilt at Basin Marine in Newport Beach, CA, with all new wiring, machinery, electronics and paint. The yacht showcases a custom-built hardtop with custom stainless-steel accents.
PACIFIC PIONEER’s interior is the ideal gathering space for guests to unwind after a day on the water. Custom teak cabinetry is seen throughout, with granite countertops and teak and holly flooring. Spacious, custom couches were added to accommodate all guests in absolute comfort and act as storage space for rods and tackle. An entertainment system is accompanied by a large TV and surround sound, welcoming guests to enjoy a movie or relax to their favorite show. The yacht’s main salon is home to a large dinette with plenty of seating and a well-equipped galley complete with a full complement of modern appliances. Sweeping windows surround the salon providing excellent visibility of the cruising grounds and plenty of natural light. The aft window is custom and double the size of a standard window, giving those who sit in the salon excellent views of the action taking place in the cockpit.
PACIFIC PIONEER welcomes seven guests in two guest cabins and one guest/crew cabin. The master stateroom to port features a large bed with storage beneath and an en-suite bathroom with a sizeable shower. A beautiful backlit Channel glass engraving completes the master suite. Ample tackle storage can be found, and large hanging closets ensure guests’ belongings are properly stowed. The forward stateroom offers three bunks with lots of rod storage. The adjacent en-suite bathroom features custom granite countertops and a large shower. To starboard are upper and lower bunks for crew or additional guests.
The Bertram 54 has timeless lines with extra wide side decks, a large beam and a spacious cockpit perfect for fishing or diving. The custom stainless-steel work and hardtop make this boat stand out amongst other sport fishers. Her flybridge features two helm chairs and additional seating forward of the helm, offering prime visibility of the approaching destination. Her cockpit is a hub of action, fully-equipped with all necessary amenities required for successfully fighting fish. The yacht’s foredeck is home to a 14’ tender.
The beautifully varnished teak door opens to a fully remodeled salon and galley. The large windows provide an abundance of natural light especially from the oversized aft window which was custom built and designed. To the starboard is a flat screen TV with surround sound. A large custom-built couch is to the port with integrated storage and an ottoman. A wine cooler and icemaker are located beneath the entertainment center. Moving forward, to the port is the spacious galley with all modern appliances, drawer refers, and custom teak cabinetry. Across from the galley is a large dinette and custom table with seating for six people. Continuing forward, a set of spacious upper and lower bunks for two guests are featured to the starboard. A hanging locker and cabinets provide plenty of storage for the guests as well as rod storage for 16 fishing rods.
The entrance to the master is to the port where the beautifully appointed master stateroom boasts a queen-sized bed and a beautiful Chanel art piece above the headboard. Copious amount of storage can be found in custom teak cabinetry throughout this cabin. The master stateroom features an ensuite head and oversized shower with beautiful granite counter tops and teak accents throughout. Forward of the master is the VIP stateroom complete with three bunks, storage and an abundance of rod storage. The overhead hatch provides natural light and ventilation. The ensuite head and shower features custom teak joinery, granite counter tops and a custom sink and faucet.
