TIGER LILY TOO Yacht for Sale
TIGER LILY TOO is the only Gunboat 90 ever built, a custom performance cruising catamaran designed by Morrelli & Melvin and constructed in Cape Town, South Africa in 2010. Her lightweight platform uses full-carbon composite construction, with vacuum-bagged epoxy hull and deck structures over a Nomex aramid honeycomb core, carbon fiber inner skins and Kevlar outer skins. With lifting rudders and daggerboards, she draws just 5.2 feet. She has never been raced and has instead been cruised, operated and maintained by an experienced crew.
From 2019 through 2021, TIGER LILY TOO completed a substantial $11 million refit at Newport Shipyard that substantially updated both her technical systems and onboard arrangement. All systems were replaced or upgraded, with work encompassing machinery, appliances, electronics, wiring and piping. The interior was also reconfigured, most notably through the removal of four structural posts in the salon and installation of a full-width carbon beam. The galley was moved from the salon into the starboard hull, creating a separate galley and crew area away from the principal guest spaces.
The same refit addressed much of the sailing platform. Work included renewal and upgrades to the mast components, sail package, standing rigging and running rigging, as well as replacement daggerboards and new titanium rudder bearings. PTO-driven bow thrusters were also incorporated for additional maneuverability. The project further included changes to the coach roof, exterior styling and boarding arrangements.
TIGER LILY TOO accommodates eight guests in four cabins. The port midships principal cabin has a walk-around king berth, private en-suite and dedicated office with a built-in desk. Two additional double staterooms are positioned aft to port and starboard, while a separate bunk cabin connects through the day head to the starboard aft cabin, allowing the two spaces to function together when required. Crew accommodations are separated forward, with two crew cabins, dedicated wet heads and capacity for up to four crew. Interior finishes include satin-stained birch cabinetry and Brazilian mahogany flooring.
The salon consolidates the main social and navigation spaces into one open-plan area. Wraparound windows provide 360-degree views, with two curved sofas positioned forward, a custom round dining table and a full-length bar and coffee station to starboard. The helm is centrally positioned within the salon, while the navigation station sits forward to starboard. For entertainment, a projector concealed within the ceiling operates with a retractable screen.
The galley occupies the starboard hull amidships and includes extensive counter space and storage, a large refrigerator, underfloor chest freezer and stacked Miele washer and dryer. Immediately alongside is the crew mess, equipped with an L-shaped banquette and dining/work table, flat-screen television, CZone and chartplotter displays, VHF handset and fire alarm panel.
The aft cockpit provides the principal alfresco dining area, arranged with two opposing L-shaped seating areas and lifting, expanding tables. Double sliding doors open between the cockpit and salon, connecting the two spaces. A custom Falcon tender is carried on the aft davits.
Continued investment in 2025 included replacement of the teak throughout the yacht, including the transoms, steps, and forward and aft cockpits. The mast was repainted and overhauled, the headstay was replaced and the rig underwent an overhaul with a new switch car stack pack and car system. Her sail inventory was updated with a 2025 North 3Di main and Solent with an RP locking headboard.
The yacht's onboard energy system incorporates 7,700 watts of solar generation from 53 panels paired with a high-capacity battery bank. Her transoms are also configured for large Watt & Sea hydro-generators. Together with her extensive 2019–2021 refit and further 2025 sailing and deck updates, TIGER LILY TOO presents a comprehensively updated example of this one-off Gunboat 90 platform.

Tiger Lily Too is one of the most extraordinary performance cruising catamarans ever built.
A fully custom Gunboat 90 designed by Morrelli & Melvin and built in Cape Town, South Africa in 2010 to the highest possible specification and without compromise. Her all-carbon and Nomex honeycomb construction gives her a displacement-to-length ratio more indicative of an offshore race boat than a cruising yacht, and the Gunboat 90 still stands entirely alone in the marketplace. No other vessel of her size combines this level of structural sophistication, sailing performance, and ocean capability and ability to only draw 5.2ft with her lifting rudders and daggerboards. She is a platform that has simply never been replicated.
From 2019 to 2021, Tiger Lily Too underwent an $11,000,000 major refit and transformation in the USA, one of the most comprehensive ever undertaken on a performance cruising catamaran. Every system was replaced or upgraded by world-leading specialists. The interior layout was reimagined to include a dedicated crew area, transforming the platform into a true superyacht capable of global exploration while providing owners with sumptuous luxury and privacy.
Tiger Lily Too is finished throughout in birch cabinetry with a satin stain finish, Brazilian mahogany floors, and impeccable Italian fabrics and detailing. She accommodates eight guests across three large double walk-around beds, each with its own private en-suite, an extra bunk room perfect for kids or guests, and up to four crew.
Tiger Lily Too is offered to the market in turn-key, step-on superyacht condition.
Boarding, Transom, Interior & Accommodation
TRANSOM & BOARDING
Stepping aboard Tiger Lily Too from the aft sugar scoops, you're greeted with a wide outer step that allows effortless boarding directly from the dock, while a second inboard lip provides easy access from the tender, both practical details that make a genuine difference in daily use.
All teak on the transoms, steps, aft and forward cockpits were replaced in 2025.
Four curved teak steps with stainless-steel handrails lead up from the water onto a flat deck that flows naturally forward into the aft cockpit. The steps are mirrored port and starboard, giving the transom a symmetry that carries through the entire aft end of the boat.
Underwater lighting illuminates the water beneath both hulls in vivid blue, making the transom as striking at anchor after dark. For offshore passage-making, the transoms are fitted for large hydro-Watt & Sea generators.
AFT BEAM
Walking up from the transoms and moving forward along the deck, you pass the large davits that hold the custom Falcon tender and the aft Harken 990 winches.
Steps port and starboard, again perfectly mirrored, lead up to two large oversized daybeds, one on each side, ideal for lounging underway or at anchor.
The aft beam features a large central loveseat on the centerline that comfortably accommodates 6 people, designed at a height for unobstructed views, with built-in storage on either side. The flow from transom to beam to cockpit is seamless — wide, open, and detailed.
AFT COCKPIT
Stepping through into the aft cockpit, the space immediately impresses with its layout, privacy, and sense of occasion. Two L-shaped seating areas face each other, each with a varnished lifting and expanding table provides flexible outdoor dining configurations for large groups.
The cushions are light Italian fabric, soft and elegantly understated against the teak. The space is framed by large mirrored double sliding doors that open fully to connect the cockpit with the saloon, erasing the boundary between inside and outside living.
Overhead lighting runs the full length of the cockpit canopy, making the space equally usable day and night.
The entire aft cockpit delivers the combination of complete privacy and genuine luxury that defines Tiger Lily Too.
SALON
An open, unobstructed salon of a scale that feels more like a great room than a boat interior. Warm timber-paneled ceiling linings run the length of the space, with recessed LED downlights and opening skylight hatches that flood the interior with natural light and air. The panoramic wraparound windows give the saloon a 360 -degree connection to the water and horizon.
At the heart of the space sits a beautiful custom round designer dining table, surrounded by teak and upholstered dining chairs. To starboard, the bar and coffee station runs the full length of the space alongside the dining area: a long varnished timber counter with leather-topped bar stools, fronted by a cabinet face featuring stunning inlays.
Bar seating provides a relaxed feel and allows for self-service without disrupting the flow of the saloon, and serves equally well as a proper bar for evening entertaining or just relaxing.
The forward port section of the saloon provides two generous curved sofas in warm beige fabric with a low black coffee table to each side. This forward lounge faces forward through the full-width windows, giving unobstructed sea views.
The nav station is positioned to starboard forward of the helm, housing chart plotters and instrument displays.
One further detail deserves particular mention: a hidden panel in the saloon ceiling conceals a built-in projector that drops a screen on command, transforming the saloon into a private cinema at anchor.
HELM STATION
At the center of the saloon sits the helm — positioned centrally to allow the driver to control every aspect of the vessel while remaining fully connected.
Its striking, beautifully proportioned design makes it a stunning piece that blends functionality, safety, and luxury, highlighting the quality of this platform.
From this single position, the helmsman has 360-degree sightlines, complete engine and systems control, full instrument visibility, and command of all aspects of sailing, whilst remaining connected to guests.

CABINS — OVERVIEW
Tiger Lily Too accommodates owners and guests across four cabins, with two additional crew cabins and a separate crew area. All cabinetry and veneers throughout are finished in birch with a satin stain finish — warm, elegant, and consistent from master cabin to crew quarters. The layout places the principal owner's cabin at port midships, with two equivalent VIP and guest staterooms at port aft and starboard aft, a double bunk room and a crew mess at starboard midships, and a Captain and crew cabin with a wet head forward starboard and port.
PORT MIDSHIPS PRINCIPAL / MASTER CABIN
The principal cabin is located at port midships. A full walk-around island king berth sits inboard, dressed in fine linens with an upholstered headboard and custom artwork panels above. Generous built-in storage runs the full length of the outboard side — a long, beautifully finished chest of drawers with a vanity surface and personal space for the owner's private possessions. Overhead, a large opening deck hatch with integrated mesh screen and blackout blind floods the cabin with natural light and ventilation. Recessed LED downlights and warm bedside wall lights create an atmosphere that is entirely residential in quality. The en-suite bathroom features a separate shower with full-height glass screen, Tecma carbon toilet, vanity washbasin with solid teak top, stainless fittings, and tiled surfaces throughout. The owner's office occupies a dedicated zone as you enter the cabin, with a full-width built-in desk allowing you to run a business from anywhere in the world.

Brokers Comments
