As her name suggests, PIONEER was the first private expedition yacht built and is recognized as the first yacht to circumnavigate the North America Continent unaided. PIONEER was launched to acclaim by Palmer Johnson in 1996, but underwent a refit in 2015, offering amplified levels of luxury. She welcomes charter parties of up to 10 guests and hosts an experienced crew of eight to cater to their every need.

Exterior Design

At 150-foot (46m), PIONEER has been designed by Vripack to offer plenty of space for her 10 guests and crew. Her newly painted hull is sleek and eye-catching, whilst her vast deck spaces are well designed, offering plenty of opportunities for guests to see the incredible views her cruising grounds offer.

Interior Design

Marshall Field and Van Der Muelen put great thought into designing the interior of PIONEER. Boasting a traditional and lavish décor, she features warm wood and cream furnishings that help to create a welcoming and calm atmosphere. Her upper deck features a master cabin, featuring an en-suite bathroom, walk through wardrobe, library and study. Her lower deck includes two double cabins and two twin cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms and the finest amenities.

Standout Features

One of PIONEER’s best features is her refitted upper-level sundeck, boasting a sun pad, sofas, a Jacuzzi and a bar to unwind at with family and friends. Her sky deck promotes alfresco living at its finest, with a lavish teak table seating her 10 guests and a bar area close by for drinks under the stars. It goes without saying that PIONEER features an enviable collection of tenders and toys for those wishing for adrenaline-fueled fun or to explore her surrounding waters. Her newly refitted main salon offers a full-surround sound entertainment system, only adding to her appeal.

Cruising Experience

Twin Caterpillar 3,508hp engines allow PIONEER to comfortably cruise at 11 knots and reach a top speed of 14 knots. As an expedition yacht, PIONEER has an impressive list of cruising grounds. Wherever you choose to charter, you are sure to experience an unforgettable charter with PIONEER.
