A classic 1987-built Benetti superyacht, the 162'5" (49.4m) EGO underwent a two-year transformation from 2012 to 2014, giving her an entirely new interior, a new paint job and a host of luxurious new amenities. An additional refit in 2019 has left this charter beauty, previously name RIMA II, in pristine condition offering the elegant style and timeless lines you would expect from the renowned Italian shipyard and Studio Ruggiero. Refined interiors
Beautifully refined with a calming ambiance, the interiors on EGO are from the German design studio New Cruise. The palette is neutral throughout, with elegant touches of soft grey and cream, dark hardwood floors, pale wood walls, and accents in glass and brushed stainless steel. The main salon is flooded with natural light from the panoramic windows that embrace the space. There’s a conversational lounge with sofas and a huge glass coffee table in a central location and an intimate table for dining or board games just inside the aft doors as well as a bar. Further forward is a separate dining area with a table seating 12 for elaborate celebration dinners and formal meals served by EGO’s talented culinary team. There is also informal seating on the bridge for guests who like to take in the views ahead and see the captain at work at the helm.
Chic staterooms
EGO accommodates her 12 overnight guests in seven tranquil havens, including a palatial upper deck master stateroom. Spanning EGO’s full beam, the master is a study in elegance with panoramic windows affording views without stepping foot from the king-size bed. There’s an office and direct access to the bridge deck area for breakfasts and morning coffee with a view. A further full-beam VIP stateroom is on the main deck with a walk-in closet and generous en-suite facilities. The remaining accommodations are on the lower deck and include two double staterooms, two twin cabins and one single cabin, each with dedicated en-suite facilities and impressive entertainment centers.
Outdoor living
Decks on EGO are all about enjoying her cruising grounds' warm climate and incredible scenery. Al fresco entertaining and dining can be found on the large main aft deck, with a shaded dining table and integrated sofa seating for casual lunches and leisurely breakfasts. The upper deck provides a peaceful retreat during the day with plenty of room for sun loungers overlooking the stern. Crowning it all is the sundeck, which provides a fantastic place to while away the day on the sun loungers while sipping cocktails from the bar. There’s a BBQ for tasty treats fresh from the grill and a large Jacuzzi for cooling dips and amazing views. For the more fitness minded, there’s also a range of fitness equipment for onboard workouts. When the sun gets too hot, the space can be shaded under an electric canopy.
Charter experience
Down at the water’s edge, EGO’s broad swimming platform is the perfect jumping-off point for adventures on the crystal Mediterranean Sea with an impressive arsenal of toys and handy tenders for quick jaunts to port. There’s also plenty of space for sunbathing.
With a top speed of 24 knots and comfortable cruising at 20 knots, EGO allows guests to move quickly from one stunning marina to the next. Nothing is too much for her stellar 10-strong crew, who offer friendly, personalized service for an outstanding charter experience.
