On October 8, the Monaco Yacht Club was bustling with guests and brokers for the Cluster Yachting Monaco Winter Edition – Open Day. Organized by the Monaco Yachting Cluster in conjunction with the Monaco Yacht Club, Northrop & Johnson was pleased to be in attendance with seven yachts on display, making N&J the largest presenter at the event.

The Cluster Yachting Monaco Winter Edition – Open Day began with a keynote session on “2021 Season Preparation and the Figures of the 2020 Season.” Patrick Coote, Northrop & Johnson CMO and Head of N&J Europe, was on the panel to share his insights on 2020 thus far and what is ahead. Following was a keynote session on MOI Composites. Both sessions were extremely insightful to attendees on the current state of and future of the yachting industry.

Attendees then walked the docks to view the selection of yachts on display. The weather could not have been more perfect, the sun was shining, and the temperature was just right for an afternoon on the quay. Northrop & Johnson had on display yachts for sale and yachts for charter for guests. The yachts for sale included the 147-foot (44.6m) BERZINC, the 85-foot (25.81m) Feadship SULTANA, the 80-foot (24.38m) Pershing LOUNOR, the 72-foot (21.95m) Pershing LOONEY and the 61-foot (18.8m) Prestige LA HUNE 4.0. Available for charter, Northrop & Johnson showcased the 164-foot (50m) ISA superyacht LIBERTY, the 164-foot (50.29m) Mangusta DA VINCI and the 85-foot (25.81m) Feadship SULTANA.

Northrop & Johnson ended the day with a captains and crew cocktail at the Wine Palace. It was a spectacular evening of socializing, wining and dining.

“The Open Day was a great success,” said Coote. “There’s clearly a strong appetite across the superyacht industry for small, private events that can facilitate visits onboard while still ensuring safe distancing and responsible practices. Northrop & Johnson presented many of the top-quality yachts on display and saw strong interest from both brokers and buyers.”
