Newport, Rhode Island, is heralded as the birthplace of yachting in America. This incredibly beautiful coastal New England haven is perfectly suited for enjoying life on the water aboard a boat or yacht, which makes it the perfect place to host a boat show. Held annually at the end of the busy and bustling summer season, The Newport Brokerage Boat Show has on display more than 100 sailing and motor yachts each year. The event takes place in September at the famed Newport Shipyard. Boats and yachts on display range from 40 to 180 feet in length and run the gamut of styles and types. The average LOA is 73 feet with an average asking price of $1.6 million. An exceptional array of exhibitors showcasing it all, from yachting equipment to electronics and gear. In addition, the show will feature an educational seminar series.

The Newport Brokerage Boat Show is free for attendees and is held in conjunction with the Newport International Boat Show, which is a ticketed event that takes place at the Commercial Wharf in Newport, and the Newport Wooden Boat Show. For guests who want to attend both shows, the Newport Brokerage Boat Show offers a complimentary water shuttle between the events.

The largest collection of in-water boats and yachts in the New England area, this event is perfectly suited for boaters and yachtsmen alike.

One of the most exciting facts about the Newport Brokerage Show: 18 to 20 percent of the yachts on display are sold either in the show or to a client met at the show within 30 days.

Northrop & Johnson is delighted to have top brokers in attendance and several yachts available for viewing at the show.
