UNDERLORD is a 2002 Swan 82 designed by Germán Frers and built by Nautor Swan in Finland. She has sailed around the world and has been professionally crewed and maintained throughout her life. Her sailing configuration includes an Offshore Spars carbon fiber mast and Park Avenue boom, together with an easily and safely managed sail plan and deck layout.
Her construction reflects the performance-focused engineering of the Swan 82 platform. The hull uses single-skin glass/aramid hybrid fiber-reinforced vinylester laminate with carbon fiber reinforcements, while Nomex honeycomb-cored carbon fiber epoxy pre-preg structural bulkheads are laminated to the hull and deck. The carbon fiber pre-preg sandwich main deck has a Nomex honeycomb core, with high-density core beneath the deck fittings. UNDERLORD also has two watertight structural bulkheads, positioned between the forepeak and forward guest accommodations and between the lazarette and crew accommodations. Her steel keel fin carries an L-shaped lead bulb, with the keel-to-hull connection reinforced by an FRP modular box.
The interior accommodates six guests in three cabins, all positioned forward of the saloon, while the crew cabins, navigation station and galley are located aft. This arrangement keeps the principal guest accommodations separate from the yacht’s working areas. Interior finishes include varnished teak, soft furnishings and teak-and-holly floorboards, complemented by reverse-cycle air conditioning, nine opening deck hatches and six opening portlights. The full-beam saloon is arranged with settees to port and starboard and an adjustable dining table that seats six with the addition of two folding deck chairs for larger groups.
Forward, the full-beam master stateroom has a queen-size bed along with an office with desk and chair and an en-suite. The port guest cabin has a double bed and en-suite while the starboard guest cabin follows the same general arrangement and adds a fold-down Pullman berth.
With her three-stateroom-forward layout, carbon mast and boom, replaced teak decking, upgraded carbon deck package and separation between guest and crew areas, UNDERLORD offers a well-established Swan 82 configuration backed by extensive global sailing history and professional operation.
UNDERLORD’s professional operation and maintenance throughout her lifetime have been complemented by ongoing upgrades and updating. The investment in areas such as her replaced teak decking and upgraded carbon deck package has kept key elements of the yacht current while preserving the construction and sailing platform that underpin the Swan 82.

Overview
UNDERLORD is a Swan 82 Flush Deck designed by Germán Frers and built by Nautor's Swan in Finland. The Swan 82 evolved from the Swan 80 platform and combines powerful sailing performance with the craftsmanship, engineering, and bluewater capability associated with the Swan marque.
Delivered in May 2002 as IPIXUNA, she has sailed extensively around the world and, according to the supplied historical specification, was professionally crewed and meticulously maintained. Her flush-deck configuration, carbon rig, substantial cruising systems and three-cabin guest arrangement make her well suited to long-range cruising while retaining the performance pedigree expected of a Frers-designed Swan.
From new through present, a significant program of maintenance and upgrades included machinery, rigging and hydraulics, navigation electronics, deck equipment, domestic systems and interior work.
The short version: rig, sails, paint, engine, driveline, steering system, electronics, generators, thruster, and HVAC systems have all been renewed or rebuilt within eight years, the majority in the last three, by Nautor Swan Global Service, Safe Harbor New England Boatworks, and specialist marine engineers.

Hull & Appendages
The hull is single-skin construction, using a glass/aramid hybrid fiber-reinforced vinylester laminate with carbon fiber reinforcement. A high proportion of unidirectional fibers provides a stiff laminate with excellent strength and fatigue properties.
Structural bulkheads are Nomex honeycomb-cored carbon fiber epoxy pre-preg construction laminated to the hull and deck. Stiffener flanges use unidirectional carbon lay-ups over foam cores. Two watertight structural bulkheads separate the forepeak from the forward guest accommodation and the lazarette from the crew accommodation.
