Northrop & Johnson is delighted to announce the sale of the 153’ (46.63m) Feadship motor yacht EXPLORA by Yacht Brokers Ed Dickinson and Kevin Merrigan, acting on behalf of the seller. The yacht was last asking $14,900,000.
EXPLORA is an exceptional yacht that boasts a rich pedigree. Built in 1985, the vessel has been meticulously maintained by her devoted owner, ensuring that no expense was spared to keep her in pristine condition. In 2002, the yacht underwent a complete rebuild under Feadship’s supervision. Further refits were carried out in 2008 and 2017 at the Balk Shipyard in Holland. Annual maintenance and capital expenditures are continuously performed to maintain the yacht’s impeccable state.
Boarding the main deck aft, guests are welcomed by an alfresco dining area shaded by a canopy and furnished with seating for up to 12. A comfortable seating area with a coffee table and bar provide the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The main salon is accessible through double doors and is designed with an upright piano, an L-shaped sofa and two upholstered armchairs. The Hamptons beach house-style interior, designed by Pembroke & Ives, adds to the vessel’s unique appeal and creates a chic and relaxed ambiance.
Forward, the main dining salon features an impressive mahogany table set athwartships, with clever electrically controlled opaque panels and sliding doors that can provide privacy if needed. The skylounge can be accessed through a staircase from the foyer. The curved glass sliding door opens to the boat deck, where the yacht’s tenders, Jet Skis, gym equipment and water toys are stored. The sundeck is accessible via a staircase to starboard and is equipped with a Jacuzzi, seating/dining tables, a barbecue and lounge chairs.
The master stateroom is located on the main deck and features high-gloss mahogany and a white-panel ceiling that creates a welcoming ambiance. This full-beam stateroom features a king-size bed, private study, abundant storage, and an en-suite bathroom with a whirlpool tub. Five additional staterooms are located below deck, comprising two doubles, two twins and a fifth convertible cabin.
