CABOCHON 91’ (28m) Hood/Fontaine 92 Sloop Sold

Northrop & Johnson is pleased to announce the sale of CABOCHON, the 91’11” (28.04m) sailing yacht built by Ta Chiao Bros. Yacht Building in 2004. Yacht Broker Brian Commette represented the seller, and the yacht was last asking $1,675,000.

Built to Lloyds HCC standards, CABOCHON pairs a keel/centerboard configuration with a Bahamas-friendly draft and a carbon-fiber four-spreader mast. Her construction incorporates Corecell, Kevlar reinforcement and epoxy resin, while a rolling refit over the last three years addressed all mechanical systems. Updates completed as part of her refit program since 2020 include Blue Awlgrip hull paint, new MarineAir chillers, Starlink connectivity, North tri-radial main, genoa and jib sails, updated electronics and a hydraulic system overhaul.

CABOCHON accommodates up to six guests, led by full-beam owner’s quarters aft with his-and-her bathrooms and a private aft cockpit. The guest staterooms offer convertible twin berths or a single king-sized berth with a Pullman above, with ensuite heads and separate showers.

Her interior includes a raised salon with 270-degree sightlines and a full-function helm station, along with a lower salon featuring a formal dining area and an L-shaped settee. Outside, two cockpits, wide decks with 37-inch lifelines and a folding transom platform support time underway and easy access to the water or tender.

Her traditional overhangs, graceful sheer, Flag Blue topsides, white deckhouse and teak-clad decks give CABOCHON a distinctive profile.
