Captain's Comments: "I love this yacht! Upon taking command in 2007, it was instantly apparent during my first inspection that she had been built to high standards and her most recent owners had spared no expense to maintain and upgrade the many systems onboard. Jump forward 2 years, SOTAJ has completed an 18 month refit and we are underway in the San Juan Islands on the way to Nanaimo, British Columbia. SOTAJ looks, feels and runs like she is brand new, only now she is faster, more fuel efficient, more user friendly and dare I say…. prettier. The refit provided the time and resources to go through every system onboard and carefully service or replace as required to meet or exceed present-day standards, while cosmetically giving the yacht a brand new “shine”. I could go into detail about how the refit successfully added a comfortable area for aft deck dining and easy water access from the main deck. I could go into detail about how pretty the fly bridge is with the Bimini lighting shining on the new seating and teak decks or the new longer boat deck has room and the strength required to carry two Jet Skis. I would rather talk about how the refit added waterline length, combined with new powerful main engines have made SOTAJ faster, more fuel efficient, solid and responsive while underway. With the drive line and rudders moved aft, SOTAJ is very easy to maneuver during docking procedures. While underway she has a very safe, sturdy and quiet feeling in her movements and she is quick to respond to the Captain’s request. SOTAJ is a wonderful pedigree yacht that has been my pleasure to command."
