The 140-foot (42.7m) IAG luxury motor yacht KING BABY is not the owners’ first foray into the boating world, but it is their largest vessel to date. Launched in June 2015, KING BABY is a brand-new build, fresh from the shipyard and the perfect opportunity for her owners to have a “grown-up boat,” as they call her. “We wanted something unique that really captured a bit of who we are,” they proclaim, and KING BABY is as unique as they come. With both the interior and exterior of the yacht designed by the exceptional Evan K. Marshall, the yacht has a matchless flair that makes her instantly recognizable.

A 101-foot Hargrave custom build, a 68-foot Sunseeker predator, speed boats and Cigarette boats all at one time or another were in the fleet of the KING BABY’s owners, but when it was time to go up in size, the owners wanted something not normally found on the market. “It’s a refreshing new build that measures in at just less than 500 gross tons, which is exceptionally large for a 140-foot yacht,” they say. KING BABY is a remarkably roomy yacht, which is one of the owners’ favorite aspects, along with the attention to detail of the interior. As for style, this yacht has it in spades. Drawing influence not only from the King Baby jewelry line, which was created by a friend of the owner, the yacht also is inspired by rock ‘n’ roll. The sexy, chic atmosphere is unlike anything you’d see elsewhere. From custom doors adorned with the likeness of the legendary Keith Richards to a personally curated collection of rock memorabilia and photos, there is awe-inspiring imagery around every corner in every corridor, stateroom and salon.

Speaking of staterooms, KING BABY has five. From her main-deck master suite with sumptuous furnishings and a sensuous his-and-hers en-suite bathroom to the four lower deck accommodations, including three king staterooms and a spacious twin, there is plenty of space for family, friends and whomever you’d like to join in the party.

KING BABY’s exterior spaces also offer something to write home about. From a sundeck boasting a three-tiered-waterfall Jacuzzi with a swim-up-bar feature to the variety of alfresco dining and entertainment spaces, this yacht was built for socializing and enjoying the beauty of whatever her cruising location may be, which is New England in the summer months and the Caribbean and The Bahamas in the winter. KING BABY’s owners favor the British Virgin Islands as their top cruising grounds, “The BVIs is the perfect combination of beauty and proximity to a variety of other yachting destinations.” The Exumas also have a special place in their hearts as one of the most unique places that they have cruised.

The owners of KING BABY decided to charter out their yacht “to keep her current and relevant and to keep the crew sharp, always on point, and incentivized.” While they have and likely will continue to charter other yachts, they say that KING BABY stands out thanks to her impressive volume, innovative amenities, “she’s state-of-the-art in every possible dimension,” and her outstanding stability and performance. Despite their time spent on other yachts, they’re always keen to come home to KING BABY. “We use her as often as possible; being on board is a total escape,” they say.

“Yachting is the most decadent hobby on the planet” maintain the KING BABY owners. “It allows you to have full control of your environment.” And, when you’re on KING BABY, it is a sleek, sexy, stylish environment complete with five-star service in the most incredible destinations. “Chartering KING BABY is a truly unique experience,” they say, and it’s one we highly recommend you try!”
