Closing Manager

Office Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Northrop & Johnson Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is seeking an ambitious and experienced full-time Closing Manager to join our team. The Closing Manager will work closely with various stakeholders in the firm, such as Yacht Brokers, Admin staff, Accountants and the Director of Administration to facilitate all yacht closings from start to finish. Additionally, the Closing Manager may perform a variety of administrative duties to efficiently support the team.


  • Acknowledge and accurately follow all the procedures related to yacht closings
  • Acknowledge and accurately follow all the procedures related to contract signing (central agencies and sales), including gathering documents to comply with due diligence requirements


  • Work closely with Sales Brokers, Administrative Team, Accounting Team and Dir. Admin and Chief Commercial Officer
  • Coordinate the closing process with clients, financial institutions, Attorneys, all US & Europe Sales brokers and documentation agents
  • Communicating with clients, brokers and their representatives to gather information for yacht sales closings
  • Assist with reviewing of tax status, corporate status, US customs regulations, lien status for each closing
  • Document preparation and processing
  • Ensuring closing procedures are followed
  • Ensuring documents/files for each closing are up to date
  • Ensuring deal information is accurately entered our CRM
  • Assist in generating various monthly reports
  • Liaise with the Marketing department to update information
  • Liaise with the Accounting department to confirm all closing payments are accurately recorded and wire details verbally verified
  • Provide the Accounting department with all the necessary/required documents to finalize the closings
  • Attend yacht shows and open days and assist, as needed
  • Prepare all administrative documentation for sale or purchase, including Due Diligence reports
  • Ensure timely response to important emails

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Yacht Sales Administration and Closing Experience required
  • Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe (Basic Photoshop, PDF), Dynamics 365 (CRM) and the Internet
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Experience in the yachting industry required
  • Excellent grammar and typing skills a must
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Language Skills: Bilingual a plus
