Position summary:

The EU Marketing Manager role is an all-encompassing position that orchestrates a spectrum of marketing duties aligned with the overarching Global Marketing strategy. This pivotal role is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of N&J throughout the European market.

The Marketing Manager for Europe is responsible for co-developing the marketing plan for Europe and implementing the marketing strategy to promote N&J across Europe with the support of the core marketing team, based in the US. This position demands a proactive and strategic mindset to meticulously plan, oversee, and execute an extensive array of marketing initiatives from PR, copywriting, event management, advertising planning, digital marketing, social media, and the procurement of bespoke branded merchandise. The candidate will work hand-in hand with a various number of people to execute the plan with great precision to increase N&J business and brand awareness.

We are looking for an experienced & hands-on marketing manager with a proven competency in managing multiple projects and work experience in Marketing, Digital & Communications (>5 – 10 years of work-related experience required). The EU Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring flawless communication between the central marketing team, offices, brokers and clients.
You will comfortably liaise vertically throughout the leadership structure as well as horizontally across departments.

The EU Marketing Manager must thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment with limited supervision, and quickly comprehend and act on changing priorities when necessary. Knowledge of digital and online environments as well as the luxury or yachting sectors is key.

Key responsibilities:

– Develop and implement marketing plan for Europe with the support of the Global Marketing Director & Managing Director of Europe
– Plan & Manage Europe marketing budget resources
– Provide needed reporting for the Global Marketing Meeting (monthly basis)
– Work in close collaboration with the core marketing team based in the US
– Oversee and manage all aspect of local events with meticulous organization, respect of budget and deadlines, coordination of the different suppliers and parties involved, excellence in execution (Open Houses, Charter shows, PR Events, Boat Shows, Clients or Partners event…)
– Proactively share local insights / best practices with HQ Global Marketing team
– Deepen relationships with the community of media, friends of the brand & influencers
– Coordinating, plan and execute Marketing Campaigns in collaboration with the brokers to generate leads
– Troubleshoot charter and sales brokers questions with regards to e-mail campaigns by liaising with the manager in charge
– Partner with marketing team members to learn their roles and be able to provide support with copywriting, proofing, content ideas, project management, and coordination as needed
– Travel regularly between Monaco, Antibes and Golfe-Juan to support each office on marketing-related topics
– Evaluate, order and monitor stock for all necessary branded items
– Establish strategic relationships with key partner companies in Europe to maximize visibility for Northrop & Johnson & generate new customer acquisition
– Work with sales brokers, charter brokers, CMD, to ensure the brand’s look and feel is consistent with the branding guidelines
– Liaise with all divisions of the company in the European offices with regard to their marketing needs and requests
– Keep an inventory of all marketing materials included, but not limited to promo items, branded stationery, tradeshow materials, etc.
– Undertake miscellaneous Marketing duties as requested
– Assist PR department in drafting press releases

– Foster and build relationships with vendors to achieve the most effective and qualitative presentation possible while respecting timelines and budget
– Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
– Exhibits flexibility and availability for yacht shows and company events
– Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital marketing channels, and traditional marketing methods
– Collaborates effectively across different cultures and time zones
– Proactive individual, problem solver and results-driven
– Language Skills: Fluent in English, proficiency in written and spoken French is essential, multilingualism is a plus
– Holds a Bachelor’s Degree
– Ideally has a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the yachting industry
– Demonstrates working knowledge of yachting (MLS systems and tools)
