Built in 1968, the 57-foot (17.37m) motor yacht PYRAT is a member of Chris Craft’s Constellation series, which was launched by the yacht builder between 1963 and 1972. Throughout the years, yachts in the Constellation series have garnered a cult-like following due to their classic lines, top craftsmanship, impressive interior volume and spacious decks.
PYRAT’s current owner purchased her in 2011, intending on upgrading, updating and transforming this stunning classic into a modern version of the much-loved motor yacht that also reflected his personal passion for the oceans. As such, PYRAT underwent a two-year, $2 million, yard period during which the yacht’s interior was fully gutted and rebuilt utilizing hand-chosen exotic woods, including cocobolo and fire mahogany. The yacht also received impressive finishings, such as custom-stitched leather accents, custom hardware, handcrafted crystal and Italian abalone tile. In 2018, PYRAT’s hull was refastened and in 2019 her exterior received a full Awlgrip paint job. During her refit, the yacht also benefitted from the installation of two Seakeeppers, ensuring comfort at sea, new Glendinning electronic controls, new LED lighting throughout, custom-built furnishings, new Viking appliances in the galley, Furuno Navnet 3D electronics, a new inverter/charter and more.
The interior spaces of motor yacht PYRAT are beautiful and welcoming. The yacht’s main salon is surrounded by large windows. Teak and holly sole woods are used here, and custom-made comfortable furnishings provide the perfect place to relax. The yacht’s galley is found forward of the salon. It is well equipped and spacious.
Motor yacht PYRAT welcomes up to six guests in three beautiful staterooms. The master is located aft below deck. It is outfitted with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. A VIP with a queen is located forward of the master and forward of the VIP is a stateroom with twin over-under berths. Both additional staterooms have en-suites.
The on-deck spaces of PYRAT are ideally suited for enjoying life on the water. Her beautiful teak decks and varnished railings exude a rich, vintage feel. The aft deck of PYRAT is covered and well suited for alfresco dining, entertaining and relaxing. The yacht’s flybridge has a helm forward with full controls. It is shaded by a Bimini top. Aft on the flybridge is bench seating, a sun umbrella and a rotating table made with a classic wooden helm wheel. The yacht’s foredeck also has seating and a large sunpad.
