My Present 
Hi. My name is Thomas Corkett. I have been a yacht broker with Northrop & Johnson since 2016.

Working from the Newport Beach office. I sell yachts in all different size ranges, from power and sailing yachts. I represent both buyers and sellers. I have been in the Yacht Brokerage business for 55 years.

My Past
I have been a life-long boater, both professionally and as a hobby. My career in Yacht Sales started in my mid-20s and I’ve been selling yachts ever since. I worked primarily with Ardell Yacht Sales for 50 years before joining Northrop & Johnson in 2016.
 
My Future
I plan to stay in the yachting industry, if possible. I love working with buyers by helping
them find the right boat for their needs. It gives me personal satisfaction.

My Outside-office Life
My life outside the office is enjoying boating with my family and my ten grandchildren. I currently own a 58 Motor Yacht for family trips and cruises. My early passions were sailing and offshore ocean races.

Fast Facts

• I have competed in 20 Trans-Pac Races from Los Angeles to Hawaii
• I was the youngest skipper to win the Trans-Pac overall at 21 years old in 1963
• Sailing is still a passion of mine and always will be
