I’m Arvid Ljungberg, Yacht Broker at Northrop & Johnson with two decades of experience in the Superyacht industry. The foundation in my role as yacht broker was shaped by fifteen years at sea as crew and Captain, providing me with the real-life experience of what it actually takes to run a successful yacht and program while working closely with owners. In 2023, I transitioned from yacht to shore, and today I represent my clients throughout the yacht sales and purchase process, as well as curating bespoke charters around the globe.
My Past
Originally from Sweden, I grew up playing ice hockey at an elite level before injuries brought that chapter to an end. A move to Palma Mallorca opened the door to yachting and a career now spanning two decades.
I worked my way up from deckhand to Captain, managing busy charter yachts across the globe in some of the world's most exciting destinations. During my time at the helm, I also had the opportunity to manage major shipyard periods, surveys and refits, working closely with industry peers while building an extensive and trusted network. All combined, this has given me the insight, solution-oriented attitude and invaluable market knowledge that I use today when advising clients through every step of ownership and charter.
My Future
I am excited to continue my journey in yachting with N&J, sharing my expertise and passion for the industry together with clients. Whether it’s through ownership or charter, there is simply no better way to explore the world than onboard with family and friends, and this is something I hope to share with more clients going forward.

My Outside-Office Life
If I'm not with my family, you’ll find me at the golf course, ice hockey rink or some other sporting venue. I love staying active and keeping fit and am always up for a new challenge, whether it’s a marathon or a mountain bike stage race.
