My Present 
Hello, my name is Alex Rogers and I’m a Yacht Broker at Northrop & Johnson specializing in new construction and brokerage yacht sales.

My Past
With over a decade of experience as a yacht captain and 25 years as a successful broker, I began my maritime career in 1977 as a private yacht captain, then transitioned to a corporate captain at Hatteras of Lauderdale in 1987. After heading back to land in 1990, I discovered the other side of the business- brokerage. Beginning as a sales executive with Hatteras of Lauderdale I moved to Harbor Yacht Sales in 1998. Afterward, I became the President and Owner of Port Everglades Yacht Sales, and in 2002 joined Westport Yachts, where I moved up the ranks to Director of sales with over 100 Westport sales and an enviable sales record of other superyachts globally.
 
My Future
I am happy to continue offering the knowledge, support and personal approach required to garner and nurture long-term relationships. My passion for finding the “right” yacht for my clients can be seen throughout every step of the process. My range of expertise covers not only motor yachts but also sportfish yachts. My phone is always on for clients to call for updates in the market, crew, and new cruising destinations. I am happy to be active in the industry as an International Yacht Broker Association (IYBA) member.

Fast Facts 

• My wife and I along with our dog Fathom split our time between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Westport Island Maine, enjoying every bit of what these coastal retreats have to offer.
