My name is Alex Higby, and I am a Yacht Salesperson at Northrop & Johnson. My role is to liaise with clients and assist them in buying and selling their yachts. The most rewarding part of my work is also the most challenging—connecting clients with their dream boats. I bring with me a strong background in the premier yacht racing scene, which enriches the perspective I offer my clients.
My Past
I grew up sailing dinghies on the south coast of England with my father, which sparked my passion for the sport. I went on to complete an apprenticeship with North Sails, which led to joining Emirates Team New Zealand for the 34th America’s Cup. Shortly afterward, I was part of Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing’s winning campaign as an under-30 sailor in the Volvo Ocean Race.
Since then, I have competed in many high-performance fleets, including the 52 Super Series and Extreme Sailing Series. I joined Northrop & Johnson to leverage this experience in helping clients sell their yachts or find their next adventure.
My Future
I look forward to continuing to work with high-net-worth clients, helping them buy and sell yachts, as well as supporting them in achieving success at world-class regattas.
