My name is Monty Batt. I am a Business Intelligence Assistant at Northrop & Johnson, where I provide market statistics and analysis for the sales and charter teams.
My Past:
I was born in England and moved to the South of France at three, where I grew up in a small village called Eze. As the son of a yacht captain and yacht chef, I inevitably developed a love for boats. I spent summers working as a deckhand on yachts between Nice and Monaco. After earning a degree in computer science from Exeter University in England, I returned to the yachting industry. I began working as a data analyst at Camper & Nicholsons before joining Northrop & Johnson in 2024.
My Future:
I plan to deepen my industry expertise and enhance my technical understanding of yachts by working closely with the experienced team at Northrop & Johnson. My clear goal is to become a knowledgeable yacht sales broker.
My Life Outside of the Office:
When I am not working, I'm usually running, skiing, or discovering a new country.
My Motto:
If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.
Fast Facts:
As a child, I wanted to become a yacht designer before discovering I was terrible at drawing.
I speak French at a native level.
I have always been obsessed with traveling and have backpacked across multiple countries; my favorite thus far is Vietnam.
