Built in 1987 as a semi-custom Donzi Z65 model in Florida, DIXIE combines functionality with comfort for long-haul sea adventures. Notable features include a full tower with center entry, full bow rails, custom mezzanine seating, a transom bait tank, a fighting chair and a custom drink box.
In 1999/2000, DIXIE underwent a significant refit, receiving new machinery and an interior overhaul. This upgraded her design and performance, making her well-equipped for sportfishing. She recently completed a yard period, ensuring her underwater components are in good condition.
On her interior, DIXIE prioritizes guest comfort. The main salon features a custom L-shaped couch with ample storage, and the galley is equipped with modern appliances including a sub-zero wine fridge.
Accommodations for six guests include a master stateroom with a queen-sized bed and ensuite head, a VIP stateroom with a double berth and additional single berth and a third stateroom for crew or extra guests with over-and-under single bunks and a private head and shower.
On deck, the teak-coated cockpit offers mezzanine seating for open-water relaxation. The flybridge boasts three helm chairs, modern electronics, a custom freezer, built-in BBQ and a ¾ enclosure. The foredeck is easily accessible and houses a Navtec davit and a Novourania tender.
