Northrop & Johnson is pleased to announce the sale of the 121’ (37m) Perini Navi sailing yacht NORFOLK STAR, with Yacht Broker Sean McCarter and Jamie Small of Burgess representing the Seller. NORFOLK STAR was last asking €4,450,000.

Built by Perini Navi in 1996, the 164GT sailing yacht has a steel hull designed by the Italian shipyard’s in-house naval architecture team. A proven long-range cruiser, she offers practical sailing configuration and accommodation for up to six guests in three staterooms. NORFOLK STAR completed an extensive refit during the winter of 2019/20, alongside her five-year Lloyd’s survey. The works included new Doyle Carbon-Spectra sails, BSI rod rigging and a complete Awlgrip repaint of the hull, superstructure and masts.

Her machinery was also substantially updated, including the installation of a new Volvo Penta D13 main engine and gearbox, Kohler 55kW generators, Gianneschi pumps and boilers, HEM watermakers and a Bauer dive compressor. Her monitoring and communications systems were renewed and upgraded, with VSAT, FleetBroadband 250, Starlink, 4G Pepwave and updated GMDSS equipment among the additions.

Her interior is finished predominantly in cherry wood, with large windows and skylights bringing natural light into the guest areas. The upper saloon incorporates an informal seating area and forward-facing desk, while the lower saloon provides a dedicated dining area. Accommodation comprises a full-beam master stateroom with a king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe, en-suite bathroom and separate study, together with two additional en-suite guest cabins featuring twin berths and Pullmans.

Exterior spaces are arranged for cruising and extended periods onboard. The main deck offers separate lounge and alfresco dining areas, while the protected aft deck incorporates a large sunbathing area behind the cockpit. Additional guest seating and lounging spaces are positioned forward, and a substantial boarding and bathing ladder provides direct access to the water. NORFOLK STAR was also offered with a Williams 505 tender delivered in 2020.

Northrop & Johnson congratulates all parties involved in the successful sale and wishes NORFOLK STAR’s new owner many enjoyable years aboard.
