MR. CHIPS Hatteras 80 Motor Yacht for Sale

Northrop & Johnson announces the addition of MR. CHIPS, a highly customized 2008 Hatteras 80 Motor Yacht, to its sales fleet. Offered with Northrop & Johnson Yacht Broker David Michie, she is asking $2,195,000.

Several updates have shaped MR. CHIPS beyond the original Hatteras 80 specification. A custom hardtop was added to the flybridge in 2015, followed by new carpet and décor and the installation of a flybridge hot tub in 2023. Her tender, new in 2015, was reconditioned with new tubes in 2025. Inside, the yacht departs from the traditional high-gloss Hatteras aesthetic with satin-finished woodwork throughout.

With a 21’8″ beam, MR. CHIPS carries significant volume through both her interior and exterior spaces. The flybridge can accommodate approximately 30 people and serves as her largest entertaining area, while the main deck adds an aft deck with a bench settee and large teak table. Inside, curved stainless-steel-framed sliding glass doors open to a full-beam salon, followed forward by formal dining for eight and a country-kitchen-style galley with a casual settee.

Her four-stateroom arrangement accommodates eight guests, including a full-beam master with a king-size berth and six oversized portlights. The remaining accommodations comprise two queen-berth VIPs and a fourth stateroom with crisscross over-and-under berths, with each guest cabin benefiting from an en-suite.

Power is provided by twin 1,800hp Caterpillar C32 diesel engines. MR. CHIPS has a modified-V fiberglass hull with Hatteras’ convex hull design and a solid fiberglass bottom, along with seven-blade propellers and deep gear ratios.
