KORU 50M Classic Feadship for Sale

Northrop & Johnson is pleased to announce the addition of KORU, the 164’ (50m) Feadship. Listed for sale with yacht brokers Monty Batt and Richard Higgins, she is currently located in Genoa.

Her arrival on the market follows an extensive two-year rebuild completed in 2024, which brought major changes to the yacht while retaining the pedigree of a 1983 Feadship. The project extended well beyond cosmetic updates, encompassing KORU’s exterior, interior, machinery and technical systems. A 3.2m stern extension was among the most significant modifications, creating an enlarged beach club and swim platform. A new sundeck was also constructed, the exterior was extensively refinished, and the yacht underwent machinery overhauls and broader technical system upgrades.

The rebuild also reshaped how KORU is used onboard. Her interior was fully redesigned and reconfigured, including the conversion of the former TV lounge into a fifth guest stateroom. She now accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms, comprising a full-beam lower-deck master, two VIP cabins and two twin cabins. Exterior amenities were expanded with an outdoor cinema setup on the new sundeck, an outdoor bar, alfresco dining and multiple lounge areas, while the foredeck has a Jacuzzi and Jet Ski storage.

Behind this transformation is a yacht with notable Feadship provenance. KORU was originally commissioned as AZTECA by media magnate Emilio Azcárraga and designed by Jon Bannenberg. Her aluminum, semi-displacement construction remains paired with Bannenberg’s original profile, now incorporating the extended stern and additional deck created during the rebuild.

Twin MTU engines provide an 18-knot cruising speed and 20-knot top speed, while equipment and technology include Naiad stabilizers, a bow thruster, Starlink connectivity, new navigation systems and updated AV systems.
