KORU is a 164’ (50m) Feadship built in 1983, originally commissioned as AZTECA by media magnate Emilio Azcárraga. Jon Bannenberg designed the yacht for Azcárraga, giving her a profile associated with a defining period of custom superyacht design. Built in aluminum with a semi-displacement hull, KORU has since undergone an extensive two-year rebuild completed in 2024, addressing her exterior, interior, machinery and technical systems.

A major component of the rebuild was the modification of KORU's stern. A 3.2m extension increased the yacht's overall waterside space, providing a substantially larger swim platform and beach club. The project also introduced a new sundeck and included extensive exterior refinishing. Her exterior now combines Bannenberg's original profile with a navy hull, extended stern and added sundeck.

The interior was completely redesigned and reconfigured during the rebuild, with a contemporary scheme combining dark wood, light stone finishes and neutral furnishings. The open-plan main salon is arranged with generous lounge seating and formal dining for 10, together with panoramic views through the surrounding windows.

KORU accommodates 10 guests across five staterooms. The full-beam master suite is positioned on the lower deck and incorporates large hull windows, extensive storage and an en-suite bathroom finished in marble. The remaining accommodations consist of two VIP cabins and two twin guest cabins. As part of the rebuild, the former TV lounge was converted into an additional guest cabin, creating the yacht's current five-stateroom arrangement.

The rebuild also expanded the range of exterior areas available for dining, lounging and entertaining. The new sundeck provides sun lounging and seating areas as well as an outdoor cinema setup. Elsewhere, KORU offers an outdoor bar, large alfresco dining area and multiple lounge zones. The foredeck incorporates a Jacuzzi and Jet Ski storage, while the extended stern provides direct access to the enlarged beach club and swim platform.

KORU is powered by twin MTU engines and cruises at 18 knots, with a top speed of 20 knots. Her machinery was overhauled during the two-year rebuild, alongside broader technical system upgrades. Onboard equipment includes Naiad stabilizers and a bow thruster, while updated technology comprises Starlink connectivity, new navigation systems and updated AV systems.

KORU combines the details of a Feadship with substantial changes to her layout and onboard amenities for enhanced modernization. The addition of the 3.2m stern extension, oversized beach club, new sundeck, fifth guest cabin and completely redesigned interior represents a significant update to the original 1983 Feadship platform.
