Northrop & Johnson is delighted to announce the sale of the 84’ (25.65m) sailing yacht ADESA, with Yacht Broker Jaap Havenga representing the seller. The yacht was last asking €1,600,000 and sold after just seven months on the market, well ahead of average timeframes for custom sailing yachts in this size range.

Built in 2003 by Fitzroy Yachts in New Zealand, ADESA is a custom aluminum cruising sloop designed by Judel & Vrolijk, with an interior by Dick Young Design. She was originally commissioned by an experienced owner and built for serious offshore passages.

A proper world cruiser with proven capability, ADESA is optimized for blue-water sailing and can be comfortably operated by a crew of just three to four. She’s notably quiet and exceptionally well insulated. Over the years, she has been consistently upgraded and maintained to a high standard. A significant refit from 2017 to 2018 included a full repaint of the hull, superstructure, and spars, all-new teak decks, new rod rigging, and comprehensive electronics updates.

Her sailing setup features a Southern Spars carbon mast and boom, rod rigging, and hydraulic furling systems for the headsails. The in-boom furling mainsail is managed by a captive winch for safe and efficient sail handling. Her deck layout is clean and purposeful, with a generous cockpit for alfresco dining, dual helm stations, and a fold-down transom for water access.

Below deck, ADESA offers a warm and practical interior finished in natural wood. The spacious main salon amenities include a comfortable seating area to starboard with a large table, while two lounge chairs are positioned to port. Accommodation includes a full-beam aft master suite, a twin with Pullman, a double with upper/lower bunks, and crew space for up to four.

Northrop & Johnson extends sincere thanks to all parties involved for their collaboration in bringing this sale to a smooth and successful conclusion.
