ADESA is an elegant, custom-built 84' (25.65m) cruising sloop crafted to the highest standards in aluminum by Fitzroy Yachts in New Zealand. With naval architecture by Judel & Vrolijk and an interior by Dick Young Design, she embodies both performance and luxury. Designed for an experienced owner, ADESA has proven herself a capable and safe world cruiser, featuring high topsides and a sheltered pilothouse, making her ideal for long-distance voyages.
Built for blue-water cruising, she is equipped with all necessary systems and equipment, allowing for smooth sailing with a crew of just 3 to 4. Remarkably soundproofed and well-insulated, she remains exceptionally quiet, even with all systems running. ADESA has been very well maintained, with continuous upgrades by her current owner. A comprehensive refit from 2017 to 2018 included a complete exterior repaint (hull, superstructure, and spars), new teak decks, new rod rigging, and numerous instrument and system upgrades. In October 2023, her mast was un-stepped for a full rig check, ensuring she remained in peak condition.
Her sailing configuration includes a Southern Spars carbon mast and boom, complemented by rod rigging and hydraulic furling systems for the headsails. The mainsail is managed via an in-boom furling system with a captive winch, ensuring smooth and efficient sail handling. The interior, designed by Dick Young, is finished in natural wood, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The spacious main salon amenities include a comfortable seating area to starboard with a large table, while two lounge chairs are positioned to port. The pilothouse provides sheltered inside steering on the main deck, with a seating area to starboard and a settee to port. The side windows of the pilothouse can be lowered for ventilation, and the aft section features a removable canvas, perfect for summer conditions.
The galley, located forward to starboard, is just a few steps down from the salon and features ample workspace, a large overhead hatch for natural light and ventilation, and a separate crew entrance. A crew mess sits to port while the engine room is accessed from the galley area.
ADESA accommodates seven guests in three well-appointed staterooms. The full-beam master suite aft features a centerline double bed, a starboard-side settee, a portside office desk, and an ensuite with a shower. Additional accommodations include a twin cabin with a Pullman berth and a double cabin with upper and lower beds. Crew quarters accommodate up to four.
The clean deck layout boasts a large cockpit area, seating benches, a custom-made folding table for alfresco dining, and dual helm stations aft. A large aft storage area includes an opening transom door and bathing platform for easy water access. A true timeless beauty with modern touches, ADESA presents in excellent condition and is ready for her next adventure.
