First Ever Swan 98 BECOOL Yacht Sold

Northrop & Johnson is thrilled to announce the sale of BECOOL, the first Swan 98 from Nautor, by Yacht Brokers Sean McCarter and Richard Callender, acting on behalf of the buyer. The yacht was last asking €12,000,000.

BECOOL was built by Nautor and renowned designer Germán Frers as a fast performance cruiser with the same aesthetic sensibilities as the other yachts in the Maxi line. One of BECOOL’s standout features is her telescopic keel, which reduces the draft from 4.9 meters to 3.2 meters, allowing access to shallower anchorages without compromising upwind sailing performance.

Below deck, BECOOL embodies the quintessential Swan aesthetic. The interior, penned by Misa Poggi and Nautor’s interior designer Heini Gustafsson, features a traditional navy theme with dark oak furniture and vertical slats. The owner’s cabin, situated aft, offers a luxurious suite complete with a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom, with linen wall upholstery by Filippo Uecher. The private companionway steps to the aft deck double as discreet bookshelves when closed.

The interior design prioritizes comfort for extended periods at sea or anchor. The layout includes three double en-suite guest cabins in addition to the master suite, ensuring ample space for relaxation and entertaining. The saloon, with a dining area on the starboard side and a lounge area on the port side, features a custom-built coffee table with a convertible tray top, seating up to eight guests. The crew area houses a well-appointed galley, complete with under-mounted stainless-steel sinks and a kitchen faucet with an integrated shower.

Though rigged for competitive maxi-class racing, BECOOL retains all the luxury expected from a Swan yacht. Since her delivery in 2020, she has been expertly maintained by her professional crew.
