GREAT BARRIER REEF NAMED WORLD’S BEST PLACE TO VISIT IN 2016-2017

Posted July 5, 2016 in Travel by Janine St.Denis

Home to the world’s largest coral reef system in the world, this impressive ecosystem not only is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it also is one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World.

It seems obvious why the Great Barrier Reef made the list. According to U.S. News Travel Editor Erin Shields, the Great Barrier Reef was named number one because, “It’s a once in a lifetime vacation.”  The Great Barrier Reef is home to more than 3,000 coral reefs and 600 islands. Spanning more than 344,400 square kilometers, there is so much beauty to enjoy.

One of the very best ways to explore the Great Barrier Reef is by private yacht. Yacht charters in the area are growing in popularity and in addition to providing guests with the holiday of a lifetime; they also will help educate reef visitors as to how we can help sustain the environment and ecosystem for future generations to enjoy.
