On the Docks at the Newport International Boat Show 2026

The 2026 Newport International Boat Show brought four days of boats, beautiful weather, waterfront conversations and plenty of New England charm to Rhode Island this past weekend.

The show welcomed yachting enthusiasts, industry professionals, clients and friends to one of the most anticipated events on the American boating calendar. Set in Newport—the birthplace of yachting in America—the show offered the perfect combination of spectacular yachts, historic surroundings and a lively dockside atmosphere.

Northrop & Johnson was pleased to be part of this year’s show, welcoming visitors and connecting with clients, colleagues and fellow yachting enthusiasts throughout the weekend.

The first few days brought beautiful weather, making it easy for guests to enjoy Newport, explore the docks and take in the impressive collection of sailing and motor yachts on display. From the waterfront to the exhibition areas, there was a constant sense of energy and excitement as visitors moved from one conversation to the next.

The weekend also offered plenty to explore beyond the yachts. Exhibitors showcased the latest in nautical equipment, marine electronics and accessories, while educational seminars gave attendees the opportunity to learn more about the latest developments across the industry.

Of course, no boat show is complete without a little unpredictable weather. The final day brought rain, but it did not stop the action or the visitors. The N&J team was out there and ready to welcome guests, and the wet weather did little to slow the steady stream of people stopping by to say hello, catch up and talk yachting.

As the show came to a close, we left Newport feeling energized by the many conversations, new connections and familiar faces we were fortunate to see throughout the weekend. From sunny dockside meetings to rainy final-day visits, the 2026 Newport International Boat Show was a memorable few days in one of New England’s most beautiful waterfront destinations.
