Check Out of the Real World and Into a Family Adventure Aboard ZEMBRA

Posted October 6, 2026 in Charter

The best family adventures have a way of making the rest of the world feel very far away. On ZEMBRA, checking out of everyday life means checking in with each other, with the places around you and with experiences you would never encounter at home.

The brand-new 46m Delta expedition yacht, delivered in 2026, was created for exactly this kind of escape. Accommodating 12 guests, ZEMBRA gives families the chance to learn something new together, venture beneath the surface, take to the sky, head ashore and return at the end of the day with plenty to talk about.

And there is no shortage of ways to do it. A three-person U-Boat Worx submarine, ICON A5 amphibious aircraft, custom 55-foot JR Marine catamaran shadow vessel, Boxfish ROV and wet lab, Williams DieselJet 625, SEABOBs, personal watercraft, kayaks, paddleboards, diving equipment, FunAir slide and inflatable docks turn the yacht into a base for exploration.

The Family Field Trip

ZEMBRA’s U-Boat Worx Super Yacht Sub 3 carries one pilot and two passengers and can descend to 300 meters, or 1,000 feet. Its transparent acrylic pressure hull creates a panoramic view of the underwater world, giving passengers the chance to experience together a part of the destination few people ever see.

Back at the waterline, the discovery continues. A Boxfish ROV can be used for underwater exploration and to record submarine dives, while ZEMBRA’s wet lab provides space for marine scientists and research initiatives. Marine biology is also among the skill sets represented within her crew.

See It From Above

The next day, the same destination can look completely different. ZEMBRA carries a two-seat ICON A5 amphibious aircraft, stored with its wings folded on the bridge deck aft and launched into the water by a 3,500-pound SWL boom crane. The aircraft can take off directly from the sea and can also operate from conventional runways.

Even better, a certified flight instructor can be arranged to come onboard, allowing guests to take the controls and log flight hours. For a teenager interested in aviation, it could become the highlight of the trip. For everyone else, it offers a new way to understand the scale of the places ZEMBRA was built to explore; go beneath them, fly above them, head ashore and walk through them…then come back together and compare notes.

Take the Basecamp With You

Many of ZEMBRA’s bigger adventures are supported by her custom 50-foot JR Marine catamaran shadow vessel. Purpose-built to carry the four-ton submarine, the catamaran has an A-frame launch system, a wide hydraulic bow ramp and beaching capability. It can support diving and parasailing and carry scuba equipment and personal watercraft.

A floating dock can also establish a watersports base away from ZEMBRA. This level of flexibility is valuable when several generations are traveling together. One group can head beneath the surface while another explores ashore. Someone might choose parasailing while someone else would rather take things slowly. Everyone can have a different version of the day, and still meet back onboard for dinner.

Just Add Water

Not every day needs an expedition plan. ZEMBRA’s 2025 Williams DieselJet 625 is configured for wakesurfing, wakeboarding and waterskiing, while two SEABOB F9s, two personal watercraft, inflatable paddleboards, a tandem kayak, Hobie Cat, FunAir slide and inflatable floating docks provide plenty of alternatives. For a family, the range matters. Teenagers can spend an afternoon trying to master the wakeboard. Others can take paddleboards or a kayak along the shoreline. Tomorrow, everyone can switch.

ZEMBRA’s crew brings together experience in diving, marine biology and photography, with guest activities including fishing, watersports, guided hikes and parasailing. Over the course of a charter, they become part of the experience too, learning what each guest gravitates toward and helping the family make more of every day.

For all the equipment ZEMBRA carries, some of the best moments may happen once it has been put away. The forward sundeck has a Jacuzzi, lounging areas and alfresco dining, while the aft sundeck can transition from a touch-and-go helipad into a dance floor or space for sunrise yoga. A custom inflatable crow’s nest offers the ultimate unobstructed view for sightseeing, while the bow platform creates another vantage point for watching wildlife underway.

Inside, ZEMBRA becomes a family home. Roger Thomas designed ZEMBRA’s interiors using custom cerused oak, stainless-steel accents and richly patterned carpets, with distinctive details including a hand-painted mural spanning three decks by his daughter.

Check Out, Together.

Ultimately, ZEMBRA’s greatest luxury may be the time she creates for the people onboard. Parents, children, grandparents and friends can try something new together, and with ZEMBRA’s ADA-compliant design, guests can rest assured no one is left out of the experience. The design incorporates an elevator serving every deck, no raised sills or thresholds, an accessible lower-deck stateroom and an electric wheelchair onboard.
