My Present
My name is Richard Callender, Yacht Broker at Northrop & Johnson. I am an MYBA-accredited broker specializing in superyacht sales and purchase, based on the Côte d’Azur for over 13 years. I have represented clients in Europe, North America, Asia, and Australasia so far.
My Past
I have been on, in, and around boats my entire life. Growing up next to the Sailing Club in Chichester Harbour on the south coast of England, my ardent passion for sailing and the sea was ignited at a very early age.
While studying Maritime Business at Solent University, I became heavily involved in the yacht racing circuit from The Hamble in the UK. Following this, I embarked on numerous international yacht deliveries as a skipper for a new construction shipyard in Denmark.
My Future
I love the South of France and believe that being surrounded by superyachts, owners and charterers on my doorstep is a key element to my success. I represented the buyer of a 67metre superyacht in 2021 and will continue to represent buyers and sellers in the 40m plus segment of the market while also following my passion in the sailing yacht sector.
The future is bright in Antibes, where Northrop & Johnson has positioned itself as the primary go-to yacht brokerage house. There are exciting new developments in-house and also in Port Vauban, just meters from our offices. It makes sense to list yachts for sale with Northrop & Johnson, globally and locally.
My Motto
Purchasing a yacht is a luxury and should be considered so. The process should be an enjoyable, rewarding experience, and above all else, tremendously exciting.
My Outside-office Life
I love the great outdoors, sailing, hiking, exploring, travel and all sports, especially rugby.
