From Martha’s Vineyard it’s a short two-hour cruise to Nantucket, the center of the world’s whaling industry during the early to mid 1800s. Stroll along the cobblestone streets and make sure to stop by the whaling museum where you can pick up your own copy of “In The Heart Of The Sea,” the true story behind the fictional Moby Dick character. Walking along the streets of Nantucket will bring the story to life. Nantucket is a favorite stopover in New England for good reason. Go clamming for dinner, rent jeeps and drive out to the beach, or have a picnic on one of the nearby beaches only accessible by boat, the possibilities are endless.
