European Union Re-Opening Update  – According to the European Union re-opening website, the EU is planning for a safe re-opening. Chartering in the Mediterranean is increasingly positive, as many travel restrictions have been lifted between countries across Europe. It was also agreed at a European Union level, to gradually start opening to 3rd countries on July 1st, subject to three conditions:

  1. The country’s epidemiological situation must be the same if not better than the EU’s.
  2. Travellers will have to meet certain sanitary conditions in their countries of origin, en-route to Europe, and on arrival (to be specified but quarantine is 100% ruled out)
  3. The principle of reciprocity must also apply: the EU will not allow entry to travellers arriving from countries that impose travel bans to EU travellers.

Northrop & Johnson are committed to providing you with essential yachting support, travel news, and resources. If you need to discuss your personal itinerary, details of private yachts available for charter, or additional travel information, please contact our team of experts today.
