My present
My name is Ulf Schabacker, Yacht Broker with Northrop & Johnson. My long-standing, well-celebrated relationship with N&J demonstrates the excellent quality of service that I maintain throughout my work. N&J charter superyacht BIG SKY while under the command of myself and my enthusiasm, skill and wit “continued to exceed everyone’s expectations on every level with an incredible repeat book of business”.
As a captain, I understood the needs of my guests on board, and I took their experience to another level. I have transitioned that expertise into my role as a broker pulling from my extensive career that included operating incredibly successful charter programs, completing and overseeing extensive refits, completing start-to-finish new build projects in multiple countries, assisting brokers in yacht sales and managing relationships with first time, as well as seasoned yacht owners. My extensive experience within the yachting industry uniquely positions me to assist yacht buyers and sellers, ensuring they enjoy an extraordinary experience when working with me.
My past
I have always had a passion for the water. A European Citizen and US Resident, born and raised in East Germany, I bring a fresh perspective and seasoned experience to every project I find myself a part of. After graduating from the IST-College for Tourism, Sport and Leisure in Dusseldorf, Germany, and getting an additional degree from the internationally connected “Speiser” Hotel and Catering College in Germany, I made my way into the world to expand my skill set and find my passions. I have more than two decades of impressive experience at sea on yachts up to 225’ and a revered diploma in Marine and Superyacht Surveying from the Lloyds Maritime Academy in Kent, United Kingdom.
My outside-office life
I’ve resided with my family for over 17 years in Key Biscayne, Florida. An island where I am very much connected with the water and enjoy any sport on or under water. I am also very involved in the local boating community and am an equity member of the prestigious Key Biscayne Yacht Club.
