Hello! My name is Makenzie Bennett, and I am the Sr. Email Marketing Automation Manager at Northrop and Johnson.
My Past
Growing up in Philadelphia, PA, and spending five years post-college in NYC, I never foreshadowed Florida or yachting being in my near future. After moving to South Florida, however, the yachting industry quickly became more familiar. I met friends who have worked, or are working, as yacht captains, attended the Palm Beach International Boat show several times, and started to gain interest in the novelty of such a once unfamiliar industry. Ironically, after spending time in the Real Estate Industry, yachting found me, and when it did, it was an opportunity that I could not pass up!
My Future
I try my best to live in the present; however, when I took on this position at Northrop and Johnson, I knew it was a long-term decision. The last company I worked for was fully remote and not Florida-based, so I am excited and eager to begin a new career path that allows me to continue building my roots here in South Florida. Career-wise, I plan to take email automation and segmentation, at N&J, to the next level. I want to reflect on my tenure here and be proud of the tech advances and segmentation strategies I have implemented. Ultimately, my goals are to move the needle regarding all data, whether email conversions, KPIs, CRM management, etc.

My Outside-office Life
I always like to say that moving to Florida unintentionally gave me more hobbies. By day, I love being outdoors, whether it be morning coffee walks, beach days, bike rides, or long runs through the city. By night, I’ll admit, I can be a homebody. A good movie and a glass of wine is my happy place. Come the weekend, I love trying new restaurants with my fiancé, friends, or family.
