My Present I am the office and crew administrator at Fairport EU, based in Antibes. My role involves facilitating a comfortable working environment for our team members and managing the professional experiences of the crew aboard the vessels in our fleet.
My favorite part of the job is the knowledge and experience I am gaining. Given how new I am to the industry, I appreciate the challenges that come with inexperience, and I am motivated by the fact that my contributions are rewarded with increasing competence.
My Past I am a South African national who moved to the south of France six years ago. I have completed two degrees in Management and Finance and am just as enamored with the Riviera as I was when I first arrived.
My introduction to the yachting industry began after my arrival when I started working part-time at a local Crew House. It was through this introduction and the strong connections I've built with yacht crew that I applied for a position at Fairport.
My Future As I’ve mentioned, the French Riviera and the yachting industry have had, and will continue to have, a significant influence on my life. I want to build my future here. Eventually, I aim to become well-versed in all aspects of crew-related issues, compliance, maritime law, and accounting.
My Motto “Try not to become a man of success, but rather a man of value.”
