My Present
Hi, my name is Rodrigo Buitrago, and I'm the Assistant Controller at Northrop & Johnson. My primary responsibilities are establishing and maintaining all aspects of the general ledger and providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses. Supervising accounts receivables, accounts payable, and general accounting department.
My Past
I am originally from Nicaragua. I came in 2004 and have lived in Miami ever since. I completed my bachelor's degree in Business Management from Central Methodist University, where I was also a student-athlete. Before joining Northrop and Johnson, I spent five years working in the banking industry. Later, I returned to school, where I obtained an MBA with a concentration in accounting. Despite having little knowledge of the Yacht industry, I have great expertise in the accounting industry and bring years of experience to make a positive impact on the company.
My Future
I joined Northrop and Johnson in October 2023 and still have much to learn and grow as a company and team member.

My Outside-office Life
I enjoy playing soccer and having adventures with my boy Lucas during his free time.
