Northrop & Johnson is pleased to welcome Yacht Broker David Michie to its Fort Lauderdale sales team. David joins the company following 24 years as a broker with MarineMax, bringing more than two decades of brokerage experience and a career built around developing long-term client relationships.

David’s move to Northrop & Johnson marks the next stage of his brokerage career, with a focus on expanding into the larger-yacht market and working with a broader network of clients. His extensive experience in the marine industry and relationship-driven approach will support his continued growth within N&J’s global sales platform.

David’s career in yacht brokerage began after a family friend purchased a 41-foot Sea Ray and shared his experience working with a broker. The conversation sparked David’s interest in the industry and ultimately led to an opportunity with MarineMax, where he would spend the next 24 years.

Having grown up boating in southwest Florida, David has a longstanding connection to life on the water. Throughout his brokerage career, he has valued being part of his clients’ boating experiences, from seeing families enjoy time together aboard their boats to hearing about owners competing successfully in fishing tournaments aboard new sportfishing yachts.
