Northrop & Johnson returned to Terre Blanche for the second edition of its European Golf Tournament, bringing together yacht captains, senior crew and industry professionals for a day of competitive play and industry networking.

Located in the South of France, Terre Blanche is consistently ranked among the top golf resorts in Continental Europe and is widely regarded as one of the region’s leading venues for high-level golf events.

The tournament was held on Le Chateau, which, unlike its sister course Le Riou, is reserved primarily for members and their guests. It is also the more technical of the two courses, with longer sightlines, elevation changes and a layout that rewards precision.

The programme began with breakfast and registration, followed by a captain’s briefing before teams headed out onto the course. The tournament followed a Texas scramble format with a shotgun start, encouraging a collaborative style of play while maintaining a steady pace across the field.

A halfway activation at Hole 9 featured drinks and cocktails by Onshore Cellars, a recognised wine and spirits supplier to the superyacht sector, alongside snacks and a DJ set providing light entertainment. Following completion of the round, guests returned to the Terre Blanche clubhouse for lunch and the prize-giving ceremony.

On-course challenges included Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive, with Bermuda awarding an all-expenses-paid trip to the island for the closest shot, and Quantum, known for its marine stabilisation systems, presenting a Terre Blanche voucher for the longest drive.

Team prizes were also awarded, with The Macallan providing four bottles of its single malt whisky for the 1st Team Gross, while Chopin Vodka presented four bottles to the 1st Team Net. Froggy Gourmet completed the prize line-up with a curated hamper for the 2nd Team Net.

The event was supported by a group of partners operating across the yachting and luxury sectors, including Fort Insurance, a specialist yacht insurance provider; Starboard Card, offering expense management solutions tailored to crew; and 3C, which delivers onboard connectivity and communications systems. Floral arrangements throughout the venue were provided by STILLA, a luxury florist producing bio-preserved flowers that last a year.

Northrop & Johnson extends its thanks to all attendees for their participation and congratulates the winners, with plans already in place for next year’s edition.
