Northrop & Johnson is pleased to announce that SURFBIRD, the 115′ (35.05m) explorer yacht built by B & B Boat Builders, is now available for charter in Alaska, with rates starting at $110,000 per week, plus expenses. Fresh from an extensive 2026 refit featuring all-new interiors, SURFBIRD is an immersive way to experience one of the world’s most captivating cruising grounds.

SURFBIRD’s charter program is centered around the extraordinary experiences Alaska offers. Guided by a crew of Alaska experts, guests can enjoy a diverse range of excursions, including whale watching, bird watching, bear spotting, jet boat exploration, kayaking, paddleboarding, and hiking. The program also places an emphasis on world-class fishing, with opportunities for crab and shrimp catching. The yacht’s elevated culinary program, including fresh catches from a day of fishing prepared by the chef, are enjoyed against lush wilderness, towering glaciers, and Alaska’s famed extended golden-hour light.

The main salon features rich wood joinery, exposed ceiling beams, and expansive panoramic windows that showcase Alaska’s ever-changing scenery. Forward, an open-plan dining area for up to eight guests adjoins a gourmet galley.

SURFBIRD accommodates eight guests in four cabins. The full-beam primary stateroom features a king berth, custom cabinetry, and an ensuite with a marble vanity, dual sinks, and a large glass-enclosed rainfall shower. Additional accommodations include two queen guest staterooms and a twin cabin with upper and lower berths.

She features a rigged fishing cockpit, purpose-built fishing equipment, rod storage, and ample working space for anglers. A full-beam swim platform provides convenient access to the water, while a foredeck davit allows for the easy launch of the yacht’s tender and jet boat for further exploration. There is also a flybridge Jacuzzi, bar, and aft-facing loungers.

Wildlife encounters are a highlight of every itinerary. Guests may have the opportunity to observe whales, bears, eagles, otters, and other native species throughout their journey, often in remote locations inaccessible to traditional travel.
