VANGUARD Naval Yachts XPM 78 Expedition Yacht Now Asking $2,700,000
Northrop & Johnson announces a $250,000 price reduction for VANGUARD, the 2023 Naval Yachts XPM 78, now asking $2,700,000. VANGUARD is offered for sale with yacht broker Mike Finnegan.
VANGUARD is an expedition platform engineered for extended, self-sufficient, long-range cruising. Built with a focus on efficiency and system redundancy, she has logged more than 9,000 nautical miles since launch, including a recent transit as far north as Greenland, which she completed with two onboard ice pilots.
Her Praxis diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system is integrated with energy management software designed to control fuel consumption and optimize power distribution. At cruising speed, VANGUARD burns 3.5 liters per nautical mile and has a range exceeding 7,000 nautical miles. She is also equipped with a commercial-grade dynamic positioning system, an ice-reinforced hull and DMS Magnus Master stabilization system.
The Arista Marine-designed and outfitted interior features a functional open-plan layout with direct sightlines from the helm to the aft salon. The main deck incorporates a port-aft U-shaped galley. Forward, the helm has twin high-back chairs, a wide multi-display dash and expansive windscreen visibility.
VANGUARD accommodates six guests in three en-suite staterooms, with a convertible salon berth providing space for two additional guests. The full-beam owner’s stateroom has a centered king berth, the VIP is fitted with a centerline double berth and sofa, and a third guest stateroom with fixed twin bunks and sofa seating.
The main deck aft accommodates tender stowage and deployment via an integrated crane, while L-shaped guest seating is positioned forward. The flybridge helm seats two, and dual stairways provide aft access to the swim platform.
With proven offshore mileage, diesel-electric hybrid propulsion, an ice-reinforced hull, commercial dynamic positioning, advanced stabilization and a fully custom interior, VANGUARD combines long-range capability and mechanical sophistication within a sub-24-meter footprint.
