Northrop & Johnson is pleased to announce the new listing of SILVERADO, a 120’ (36.6m) custom long-range motor yacht built by Willard Boat Works in 1974, now offered for sale with Robert Petrina and Mike Hickey. Asking $2,499,000, SILVERADO is currently located in Poulsbo, Washington, and presents an excellent opportunity to acquire a truly time-proven American blue-water yacht.
Commissioned in the early 1970s by the owner of See’s Candies and later owned by the Hilton family, SILVERADO was among the largest fiberglass yachts of her era. Built during the golden age of American yacht construction, she is widely regarded for her overbuilt fiberglass hull, displacement design, and proven offshore pedigree.
Purpose-designed for long-range offshore cruising, SILVERADO cruises efficiently at 12 knots, reaches a top speed of approximately 17 knots, and is stabilized for comfort. She is powered by twin Caterpillar D349 main engines, supported by Northern Lights generators, Koopnautic stabilizers, pneumatic engine controls, and a commercial-grade systems philosophy emphasizing redundancy and reliability.
Her interior, designed by Bill Harris, is finished in classic teak joinery throughout, with expansive windows and oversized brass portlights. The main salon offers a relaxed atmosphere with lounge seating, a card and game table, and a full-service bar, while the formal dining area seats eight around a custom teak Jones Goodell dining table, highlighted by a scale model of SILVERADO displayed in a glass enclosure. The galley is outfitted with commercial-grade appliances. The raised pilothouse features 180-degree visibility, twin dinette seating areas, and an extensive suite of electronics.
Accommodations include five staterooms for up to 10 guests, highlighted by a private on-deck owner’s suite and four ensuite guest staterooms below. A standout feature is the central guest lounge and library, complete with a U-shaped settee, bar, wine storage, and a rare in-hull underwater viewing window.
SILVERADO’s fully enclosed aft deck is designed for all-weather use, and the Portuguese bridge is a great space for observation underway. An integrated teak-and-fiberglass swim platform provides easy access to the water.
“SILVERADO is a rare and storied 120’ American motor yacht built by Willard, with a famous lineage of owners and a history rooted in true adventure,” shares broker Mike Hickey. “Featuring a unique underwater viewing port, former seaplane capability, and decades of thoughtful cruising from Alaska to Mexico and the Caribbean, she has been maintained throughout at the highest professional level.”
U.S.-built and U.S.-flagged, SILVERADO is a wonderful option for an owner seeking a serious long-range yacht, particularly one well suited to Pacific Northwest cruising and charter operations.
