Northrop & Johnson is proud to announce the sale of the 80’ (24.38m) sailing yacht TATOOSH by Yacht Broker Tom Corkett, acting on behalf of both buyer and seller.
TATOOSH was built in 1961 by the renowned Vic Franck Boatyard in Seattle, Washington, with designs by Ben Seaborne. She was initially custom-made for a member of the Boeing Aircraft family. She is hailed as one of the most luxurious sailing yachts ever commissioned in the Pacific Northwest. Her hull is crafted with robust Alaskan Yellow Cedar and features bronze fasteners. TATOOSH is a true gem for sailing enthusiasts, having been built to sail around the world in comfort and luxury.
The interior spaces of TATOOSH are inviting and elegant, featuring beautiful teak paneling and teak- and holly-varnished floors. The yacht’s main salon provides a relaxing atmosphere with a built-in settee and two chairs. The galley is equipped with all the essential appliances and provides a seamless experience for meal preparation while at sea.
Accommodations aboard TATOOSH are spacious, with room for up to eight guests across three well-appointed cabins. The full-beam master stateroom features two large double berths with an en-suite bath. Forward on the port side is a guest stateroom with double and single berths. Another guest stateroom opposite features a large double berth. Both of these guest staterooms share a bath. The yacht also includes a crew cabin forward for two crewmembers.
TATOOSH’s expansive deck area features an impressive cockpit, welcoming up to 15 people aboard with ample seating on either side of the center steering console. The yacht is in excellent condition, having undergone meticulous maintenance under the care of her previous owners.
