GIBIAN the First Wally 100 Now for Sale

Northrop & Johnson is pleased to announce the 30m Wally 100 GIBIAN is now for sale with Yacht Broker Sean McCarter, asking €2,200,000.

GIBIAN is the first of the hugely successful Wally 100 line and a rare opportunity to acquire an original from the yard’s early era. Designed by Germán Frers, whose performance hulls have shaped more than 170 superyachts, she combines a lightweight composite structure with a raised saloon and a Southern Spars carbon mast and furling boom. The result is a versatile performance-cruiser built for fast passage-making and comfortable coastal cruising.

With a displacement of 75 tonnes and 420 m² of sail area, GIBIAN reaches 15 knots under sail and 12 knots under power. Her 4.2-meter draft provides the stability for ocean crossings while still accessing common Mediterranean and Caribbean anchorages. Her regatta record includes the 2014 Frers Cup, Antigua Sailing Week, and Giraglia, confirming the agility and balance of the Wally 100 series. Upgraded North 3Di sails, a retractable bow thruster and a Future Fibres forestay foil on a new Carboni hydraulic furler keep her easy to handle with reduced crew.

Between 2020 and 2022 she received a major technical refresh: new paint, new stainless rod rigging, new generator, 24V and 220V electrical upgrades, and a modernised navigation suite including B&G H5000 processing, Zeus displays, radar, Garmin AIS, depth sounder, and MaxSea software. Interior soft goods were renewed during the same period, preserving the original Wally aesthetic.

Her raised-saloon exterior profile remains instantly recognisable. The cockpit offers U-shaped seating for eight, a movable dining table, wet bar, bimini shade and access to the water. The aft platform supports tender and toy operations, with storage in the lazarette. A Williams 395 SportJet tender is included.

Inside, the full-beam owner’s suite includes a king-size berth, private office and en-suite. Two twin cabins each include a retractable berth for flexible use. Crew quarters are forward with two twin cabins and private facilities.

GIBIAN is turnkey and ready for Mediterranean cruising, offshore passages, or competitive regatta participation.
