Following her Monaco debut, SIMENA is scheduled to berth at the Explorer Dock of the Yacht Club de Monaco Marina on 22 March. The yacht will form part of the Yacht Club’s Day of Exploration programme and will remain on display through 24 March, participating in several activities including a friendly regatta.
SIMENA represents Ares Yachts’ entry into the 60-meter-plus segment and, at 62 meters in length, she ranks among the 25 largest sailing superyachts in the world. Built with a steel hull and carbon composite superstructure to RINA Charter Class C standards, the yacht combines robust engineering with modern sailing performance.
Her exterior design was created by Tanju Kalaycıoğlu of Taka Yacht Design. The profile draws inspiration from classic sailing yachts while incorporating contemporary proportions and a high-performance sail plan. Interior design is by Design Unlimited, whose approach blends traditional craftsmanship with modern materials and detailing.
SIMENA is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system offering multiple operating modes, allowing the yacht to cruise silently in electric mode or operate under diesel power when required. In electric mode, she is capable of cruising at speeds of up to eight knots with a range of approximately 6,000 nautical miles at seven knots. When operating on diesel power, the yacht reaches a top speed of 14 knots and offers a cruising range of around 4,000 nautical miles at nine knots.
Accommodation is arranged for up to 12 guests in six cabins, including a forward main deck owner’s suite designed to take advantage of expansive views. The yacht also accommodates nine crew to ensure a high level of onboard service.
