Defying gravity — the Tri-Axial Tourbillon

Posted February 15, 2019 in Company by Janine St.Denis

Enter the Tri-Axial Tourbillon in white gold. With an intent to defy the negative effect of gravity, this multifaceted and beautiful timepiece is inventive, pushing the boundaries of what’s conventional. As its name states, three axes are utilized in the Tri-Axial Tourbillon, as opposed to the customary single axis.

High rotation speeds of the different carriages create an entrancing dance of balance. The inner carriage rotates every 60 seconds, the second every 30 seconds and the third every 120 seconds. The Tri-Axial Tourbillon has 140 components and is immaculately detailed. The timepiece is 13.78 mm in diameter and has a convex lens of sapphire crystal, which allows for the revolutions of the tourbillon. The intricate mechanisms are viewable from the back of the watch. The white gold version of the Tri-Axial Tourbillon has a dial with open space, highlighting the contemporary facets of the watch.

A black, full-grain, hand-stitched alligator strap with a white gold folding clasp pairs beautifully with the watch. It is water resistant up to 30 meters. Only 10 pieces of the limited edition Tri-Axial Tourbillon in white gold are available.
