Clan II is the 138th and last project of Carlo Sciarrelli, 19.06 meters long, one of his largest boats and ideal summa of his previous productions. The task of turning the idea into reality was entrusted to the "sciarrelliano" shipyard par excellence, that of Stefano Carlini, on the left bank of the canal port of Rimini. Sciarrelli has always liked to define his works "boats for traveling", which could summarize the concepts of comfort, safety and seaworthiness applied to classical forms. Boats always beautiful, with unmistakable lines, fast, light but not too much, simple and easy to steer, also for the obsessive care he took in providing them with a high stability of course.
Objects destined to last, to be admired at all times, not tied to passing fashions. Sciarrelli wanted to impose his philosophy, avoiding that any diabolical modern machine distorted his ideas. «I design it so that the water is happy with the passage of my boat», the designer from Trieste loved to repeat. The Clan II is also all this, but not only: the traditional charger cutter rigging uses a tree made of a single piece of carbon, rigging in rod, electric bow reels and winches, vang and hydraulic brim-pader. The skeleton is composed of a keel in lamellar iroko, 48 ordered per side in laminated locust, part of which reinforced in coincidence with the bulkheads, to which are added 49 mahogany beams, with greenhouses and sleepers also in mahogany", reveals Stefano Carlini. The planking, with a total thickness of 32 millimeters, is composed of four layers: the first longitudinal interior, on which two layers are crossed at 45 degrees in khaya mahogany, and finally the outer one in mahogany sipo. The deck consists of sheets of marine plywood on which teak slats are placed for a total thickness of the bridge of 28 millimeters. The antimony lead bulb is held at the keel by 17 pins with a diameter ranging from 30 to 35 millimeters. The interiors are made of marine plywood and solid teak, with the 125 horsepower Yanmar engine positioned amidships, under the table, able to push the 19 meters to about 8 knots of speed.
The sail rig is a Marconi cutter, with wheel steering and a painted carbon mast that will guarantee excellent performance under sail. The boom is anchored to a fixed point in the cockpit, without any mainsail. The place where Sciarrelli's soul and heart are most felt, however, is below deck: guest cabin at the stern, with single beds on the sides and partially below the cockpit benches, toilet on the right of the descent and chart table on the left, square with C-shaped dinette and long sofa on the opposite front. The engine is positioned under the square table, a solution that allows you to center the weights and away noise from the cabins. Continuing towards the bow there is a long corridor that delimits the kitchen, spacious and functional, and the second guest cabin with overlapping and staggered beds.
The owner's suite is a jewel: comfortable separate beds, one double and one single can be used as a sofa, a large bathroom, seats and wardrobes of various sizes. At the bow of the owner's watertight bulkhead, with access from the deck, there is the sailors' cabin or sails cala , which reaches up to the bow straight. There are two tubular berths, toilet, sink, bow trust, chain well and various lockers. It is really a beautiful classic cutter and is presented in almost perfect ordinary and extraordinary maintenance conditions.

Firefighting Equipment
All engineering compartments are protected against fire by means of two CO2 fixed installations with manual control. The cylinders are of the type B (2 Kg CO2) for the engine compartment and 21 B (3 Kg CO2) to the aft peak.
There is in addition a seawater fire extinguishing system powered by a high-pressure electrical pump.
Portable fire extinguishers (powder) are located:
1 x Under the access ladder
1 x Galley
1 x Master cabin
1 x Crew area
1 x Under the stern locker door
Air Conditioning
The air conditioning system is a compressor cooled by seawater, which sends cold water to different fan coils suitably arranged to cool (or heat if necessary) throughout the vessel.
The compressor is placed in the locker stern, behind the auxiliary generator: the cooling pump is placed in the same compartment. The compressor is also equipped with a 4-way solenoid valve for the inversion of the cycle, allowing for the same system to be used for heating. This system will work so long as the seawater does not fall below 10 ° C.
The fan coils are located:
1 x Crew cabin
1 x Owner's cabin
1 x Forward guest cabin
1 x Galley area
1 x Aft guest cabin
The air conditioning system is operated with a 230 V AC.
Electrical System
The electrical system consists of three separate networks powered respectively by:
12 V DC electric current (DC - 12 V DC)
24 V DC electric current (DC - 24 V DC)
Electricity 230V AC (alternating current - 230V AC)
