Sunrise Yachts for Sale

The Sunrise shipyard is located in the Antalya Free Zone in Turkey. Founded in 2006 by Herbert Baum and Guillaume Roche, the shipyard was purposefully established for the construction of custom superyachts, both in steel and aluminum, ranging in length between 148 and 225 feet (45 – 68m). Sunrise also operates a refit yard with hauling capacities of up to 1,200 metric tons.

Owed to the yard’s focus on teamwork, high-end craftsmanship and tight quality control, the completed yachts from Sunrise have received a warm reception from the press and wider industry.

Sunrise Yachts operates from one of the largest and most modern yacht building facilities in the Mediterranean, and their amenities include a fully acclimatized, laboratory style paint hall.

The yard made a strategic decision to offer unique legal and financial structuring opportunities to their clients, allowing for greater flexibility during the global recession of recent years. This led to another order and AFRICA’s timeless design was reimagined in a sister ship, launched in 2014. Both yachts have interiors designed by the French studio, Franck Darnet Design.

The yard continued to produce high-quality superyachts and in 2015, along came the 207-foot (61.3m) IRIMARI. This motor yacht was designed by Espen Oeino and is arguably the flagship of the Sunrise shipyard.

Sunrise works with an international team of designers, naval architects, engineers and craftsmen. This international pool of talent has allowed the builder to expand their production capabilities and they can now build and refit yachts up to 246 feet (75m).

History of Sunrise Yachts

The Sunrise Shipyard was founded in 2006, for the purposeful construction of full custom superyachts. This was the vision of the founding duo Herbert Baum and Guillaume Roché. Baum is a German yachtsman, and Roché, is a British and French yacht builder with a 10-year history of constructing yachts in Turkey.

The first Sunrise motor yacht was delivered in 2009, the 148-foot (45m) AFRICA. A second order was placed for the same vessel, a sistership, and this was launched in 2014.

In 2015, the Sunrise Shipyard launched its most notable build, the 207-foot (61.3m) IRIMARI. This superyacht took 30 months to build and was designed by the internationally-acclaimed and award-winning designer, Espen Oeino, and was a significant step for the Turkish shipyard both in terms of styling and status.

Following the launch of IRIMARI, Sunrise sold a controlling stake in the company to the Hong Kong-based Diamond Living Private Investment Fund. Diamond Living Private Investment Fund is a real estate fund focused on acquiring hospitality assets. These include high-end hotels, resorts, and real-estate developments globally.

Sunrise Yachts focuses on quality craftsmanship, teamwork and tight quality control to deliver new custom yachts and refits.

The Sunrise collection

Sunrise Yacht’s 207-foot (63.1m) IRIMARI is a fantastic custom superyacht with accommodation for up to 12 guests across six suites. This is the shipyard’s largest build and IRIMARI has an impressive beach club with a sauna and a gym. More standout features aboard IRIMARI include a large tender garage, an upper deck lounge which doubles as a cinema, and a piano.

Sunrise’s earlier vessels, the 148-foot (45m) AFRICA which was launched in 2009, and her sister ship ATOMIC launched in 2014, were full displacement superyachts designed by the noted design teams from STUDIO Scanu of Italy and Franck Darnet of France.

Sunrise constructs motor yachts both in steel and aluminum, ranging in length between 148 and 225 feet (45 – 68m).

Sunrise’s international design, engineering and management team combine their expertise with Turkey’s skilled workforce to develop world class yacht projects, and Northrop & Johnson is able to advise clients on the fleet of Sunrise-built boats available for charter or sale.
