Princess is a fine example of sophistication, elegance and creativity in British modern yacht design. Founded in 1965 as Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd, the company built its first Princess flybridge motor yacht, the PRINCESS 37 V HULL, with high performance inboard diesel engines, in 1974. In 1996, Princess luxury yacht builder produced the PRINCESS 20 METRE, and in 1997 the PRINCESS 52 became the first electronic diesel engine in Europe. In 1999, the PRINCESS 40 appeared in the James Bond film, “The World is Not Enough.”

In 2001, the brand became Princess Yachts International and, as of 2005, it owns and operates more than 870,000 square feet of vertically integrated factory facilities. In 2000, it launched it largest-to-date project, the PRINCESS 95 MOTOR YACHT and, in 2008, launched the New V Class flagship, the PRINCESS V85. In 2010, Princess became the first major European motor yacht manufacturer to be awarded ISO14001 for reducing polluting effects on the environment. Four years later, it launched a new line, the S72 S CLASS SPORTBRIDGE, which won the 2014 Motor Boat Award in the Flybridge up to 55-foot category, as well as the “Best Imported Large Yacht” at Boat of the Year Japan. The PRINCESS S72 and V48 both won at the 2015 Motor Boat Awards.
