My Present
I'm Ignacio Ugarteche, Videographer/Editor at Northrop & Johnson's Fort Lauderdale office. I recently moved to Miami, Florida, with my wife and daughter.
My Past
I was born and raised in Lima, Perú. From a very young age, my father, a Peruvian Navy Commander officer and rowing Navy academy champion, instilled in me a love of the ocean and outdoor sports.My passion for filmmaking began with skateboarding, holding a camera with my friends to document our stunts and street lifestyle. I have made various films and pursued many diverse projects that have shown my country and my community. It was a new and improved way of filming this amazing sport, not only as a sport but also as an art form.
After graduating from the University Of Lima, I started my career in the advertising industry at Señor Z, one of the largest advertising producers in Peru. I began as a Director's Assistant and later became a Senior Editor.
My Future
I see myself pursuing film projects that I'm passionate about and introducing my daughter to nature and teaching her to appreciate it.
